Men are quite difficult to buy for unless they are either ardent football supporters or have one specific hobby that they can’t get enough of. But what about guys that don’t have one passion, or like a whole multitude of different things – why are they always so difficult to purchase presents for, inevitably ending up with either random smells or socks and pants (or dare I say, nodads…)
Over the next few weeks I’m going to be looking at perfect presents for those of us that have these types of men in our lives and ideas on what we can get them that they’ll love.
First up is a fabulous item from Rosemary and Poppy. If your other half is inventive, creative and likes to cook then look no further than their gorgeous men’s kitchen range. It’s rare that you’ll find kitchen items that aren’t comedy/cartoon based or slightly over the top for the “cheeky chappy” in a whole host of brash or luminous colours but Rosemary and Poppy have added something sophisticated and understated to their beautiful range of kitchenalia featuring a stag.
“Staggeringly Handsome” claims the apron, and I know it’s what we all think of our guys, so why not be bold and tell him. Black and White, 100% cotton and masculine – it’s perfect for your cooking cave man. For those that demand quality in their items, you won’t be disappointed It’s incredibly well made. Personally I think the attention to detail is exemplary. The stitching is absolutely immaculate. A huge pocket on the front means that he has plenty of room for utensils, condiments and anything else he cares to store whilst he’s cooking, (recipes he’s pretending not to use while he’s creating his masterpiece – we all know their little secrets).
An adjustable neck strap also means that he can fit the apron exactly where he needs the cover. This is where the attention to details shows since some aprons have standard straps, sometimes making it a little more difficult to get them over your head if you have a larger than average sized cranium, the brass effect loops allowing you to move it and secure it gives it a more professional feel. Giving the chef the ability to adjust the strap shows that they’ve thought about the overall usage and not just the aesthetics.
The fastening straps are also a lot longer than regular ones. My OH Andy always likes to wrap the straps around him to the front but never found one that would go around his waist twice. This apron does just that without the need of sewing extra to it so I’m quite relieved as that’s normally my job to source.
Overall the Staggeringly Handsome Apron is a fab buy for your man. Great quality, brilliant design and super duper price at £19.50. Stick it on your Christmas List!
