Series 2 Sports Stars Football Pitch and Play Set Review

If you have some fanatic football fans in your house from young boys to even grown men then this is the game for them it contains:

  • 24 Pitch sections
  • 2 Goal Posts
  • 2 Goal Nets
  • 4 Corner Flags & Bases
  • 6 Connecting Pieces
  • 8 Slider Bases (4 Red & 4 Blue)
  • 2 Goalkeeper Bases
  • 3 Football Figures (Random)
  • 1 Football
  • 1 Instruction Leaflet

The pitch is well built and strong it’s a bit like a jigsaw you have to join all the 24 pieces together to make the pitch. You get 3 random players and a ball but t be honest you can’t really start playing straight away until you’ve bought some more little figures what you can buy separately, the pitch and goals were easy enough to put together and all made up within 5 minutes.

This is a 5-a-side pitch with full rules for throws-ins, free kicks, fouls, offside etc not that we played by using the rules though as I have no idea about them but I know that once my husband starts playing it with the kids then all rules will be used.

The players are controlled by flicking them once they have control off the ball and the goalkeepers are controlled by a base what has like a long handle to hold to move it.

The game is recommended for age 5+ I think if older kids play from 10 upwards then it might be better to stick to the rules as we all know how competitive older boys can be.

You can collect a total of another 106 figures for the 2013/2014 season kits from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Each extra pack of figures you can get comes in 3 parts what you assemble yourself and it also comes with a ball Each figure is well made and some even look like the real players!

Overall I would say this is a good toy for boys the age range is from 5 upwards but I think even men could have fun with this.

It’s priced around £19.99 for the playset which I think is reasonable as it is is well made and extremely good quality overall we rate this toy a 9/10

Sport Stars are also looking for 5 school youth football teams to sponsor – with new kits for the whole team on offer and a monthly mention in Kick magazine. If you think this one’s for you child’s football team go to Character Building Sports Stars for more info.

does rather sound like a modernised subbuteo! would be disapointing if you got that at christmas without the extra players.
