Well, it’s Valentines Day and not only did I get a very cute little blue nosed bear and blue nosed mug from my wonderful man, on bringing the post up to me I also received a little jiffy bag. Opening it, and retrieving the contents I spy the Ring Pop Hearts that I won on Facebook from the fabulous Bazooka Candy. Now I remember Bazooka from when I was a kid as I was a massive fan of Bazooka Joe and his Gang mini cartoons from the wrapper of Bazooka Joe Bubblegum. Even today thinking about it takes me back to being 7 years old and reaching into the plastic boxes lined up along the newsagents shelf to pick out enough of them for my 50p pocket money, then hurrying to see what cartoons I had to make up my collection. Once again just like those and the regular Ring Pops (Blackcurrant Blast…. yum) with the Ring Pops Heart they haven’t disappointed.
On opening the cute little red and white bags (just rip across the top of the packet) you get the most amazing Strawberry fragrance envelop your senses. None of your chemical smelling fragrances here – natural juicy fresh strawberry scent, literally makes your mouth water when you rip the packet open. The flavour is Strawberry Crush.
Looking in, I didn’t see the heart shaped pop first, just the ring post, so I pulled it out to reveal a very cute little red heart shaped hard candy on a heart shaped red plastic adjustable ring post (they’ve thought of everything). Unfortunately far too small for my fingers, but would fit a size P, Q or R quite nicely adjusted. But they do look incredibly cute, and what with it being Valentine’s Day I wouldn’t be disappointed to receive one, especially if accompanied by a single red rose.
After admiring it for a few minutes, I decided to take the plunge and taste this delightful little bundle of deliciousness and I’m in love – it’s a gorgeous strawberry flavour – not too sweet and not too sour. I do tend to find hard boiled sweets can be a little on the sweet side sometimes which actually puts me off, but this is very pleasant. It’s not an artificial type of flavour either. It’s quite a light natural strawberry flavour which I love. Unfortunately there’s not quite enough sweet between your mouth and the heart shaped ring post to make it sit comfortably, it does need to be a little longer for it to be sucked easily like a dummy shaped rock that you would get from the arrays of beach shops on the coast we have here. But apart from that it’s a lovely treat which you can, if you’re wearing it, put down between sucks.
I however didn’t manage to put it down so it was literally sweetless within an hour…. OOps…
So what do I think of Bazooka Candy’s Ring Pop Hearts? I absolutely love them. Not sure what I’ll do with the empty ring post though. Would have been nice if the post was not there as it could simply then have been worn as a ring (great for little girls) but as it is there, I might just have to dispose of it…. or I could glue a cute sweet fimo clay bead to it instead so Kayla (Kelly’s little girl) can use it in dress up play. Want to buy them? Me too!
Happy Valentines Day!!
